Old veteran looking for popular mod packs

Been around since the days of beta, and shadow is israphael yogscast series. Was heavily into technic/FTB mods, but not sure what's popular/up to date since then. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Also, if anyone knows of a CivCraft server that still exists/played please tell me... that was my addiction back in 2014.
